Ostia
Ostia was the city port in Ancient Rome, known as “little Pompeii”. It is the ideal place to experience authentic, daily middle class life of a Roman city. Walking through the main road, called “cardo” in latin, you can see the ware houses, the condominiums, the public fountains as well as temples, laundries, thermal baths, market places, restaurants, offices, and theatres, for which the city is famous. Taste of Italy – Castles and wine
Following a visit to Castel Gandolfo, with the papal summer residence and its amazing lake view, we roam the little village of Nemi. Villa Adriana – Tivoli

It was situated just a short distance from the capital of the empire. Villa d’Este – Tivoli
Tivoli, a very old village near Rome, is famous worldwide for its ancient and modern villas. Early in the Renaissance period, and inspired by the Adrian Villa, Cardinal Ippolito D’Este built a marvelous palace with frescoes , marble and artworks. Villa d’Este quickly became an important community for poets, philosophers, and the European nobiity. Rich with fountains of every shape and decoration, old plants and terraces, Villa d’Este is the finest example of Italian gardens in the world.
